Program Time and Date on Meridian Telephones

 

NOTE: Be sure the telephone's black transformer is plugged into electric power before setting time and date.

Handset must be in cradle (hung up) while programming Time & Date.

  • Press the gray PROGRAM key (button).
    The adjacent black triangle indicator will come on,
    and the display will show:

Language?

  • Using the softer-louder volume control below the phone dial, press either <<< or >>> until the display shows:

Time and Date Set?
<<=BACK Hold=SEL NEXT=>>

Ensure that the display shows "Time and Date Set?" and NOT "Time and Date Format?"

  • Press the red Hold key to Select Time and Date Set.

The display will show:
DD/MM/YY hh:mm
0..9 <<< Hold >>>

  • Using the phone dial, in the following order:
    • press two digits for the Day (01-31)
    • press two digits for the Month (01-12)
    • press two digits for the Year (00,01,02,etc.)
    • press two digits for the Hour* (00-23)
    • press two digits for the Minute (00-59)

* You must use 24-hour military time. For hours greater than 12 Noon, simply add 12 to the hour. For example, 1PM becomes 13, 2PM becomes 14, 3PM becomes 15.

  • Press the orange Hold key to return to the main menu.
  • Press the Program key and the indicator will turn off.


The Time and Date are now set.


Formatting the Time and Date Display

After you have performed the Time and Date Set, you may opt to select one of the following six Time and Date Formats in which to display the time and date:

    • mm/dd/yy hh:mmP (AM/PM)
    • MMM DD hh:mmP (AM/PM)
    • DD MMM hh:mmP (AM/PM)
    • MMM DD hh:mm (24-hour clock)
    • DD MMM hh:mm (24-hour clock)
    • <blank – no display>


  • Press the gray PROGRAM key (button).
    The adjacent black triangle indicator will turn on,
    and the display will show:

Language?

  • Using the softer-louder volume control below the phone dial, press either <<< or >>> until the display shows:

Time and Date Format?
<<=BACK Hold=SEL NEXT=>>

Insure that the display shows "Time and Date Format?" and NOT "Time and Date Set?"

  • Press the red Hold key to Select Time and Date Format.

The display will show:

Format: DD/MM/YY hh:mm (or other format)
<<< Hold >>>

  • Press the soft-loud key (either <<< or >>>) until you see the format of your choice in the display.
  • Press the orange Hold key to return to the main menu.
  • Press the Program key, and the indicator will turn off.


The Time and Date Format of your choice is now selected and should be displayed.

Ensure the "C.O. Features?" option is Enabled! (or "Why don’t the three buttons below PROGRAM work now?")

The PROGRAM key allows you to alter seven features:

  1. Language
  2. Alerter Volume (ringing volume)
  3. Predial
  4. Call Timer
  5. Time and Date Format
  6. Time and Date Set
  7. C.O. Features
  • Press the gray PROGRAM key (button).
    The adjacent black triangle indicator will turn on,
    and the display will show:

  • Using the soft-loud volume control below the phone dial, press either <<< or >>> until the display shows the option of your choice.
  • Press the red Hold key to select your option.
  • Press either the <<< or >>> to select the language, adjust the Alerter Volume or enable/disable the Predial, Call Timer or C.O. Features option.

However, YOU MUST LEAVE THE "C.O. FEATURES" OPTION IN AN "ENABLED" STATE. Otherwise, the three keys (buttons) below the PROGRAM key will not communicate with the Central Office (C.O.) and will fail to operate properly.

  • Press the orange Hold key to return to the main menu.
  • Press the Program key, and the indicator will turn off.
